Academic Player of the Year
Eva Schwartz leads the six-player 2025 Lone Star Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic Team announced by the Conference on Wednesday (April 30).
Schwartz is an Angelo State graduate student studying international business and carries a 4.0 grade-point average. She has earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team recognition in addition to LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades. On the court, Schwartz has played both one and two singles (10-9) and is 12-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Joining Schwartz on the six-member 2024 LSC Women's Tennis All-Academic Team is Hannah Yip from Midwestern State, a three-time LSC All-Academic Team honoree; Jessica Binzari from Midwestern State; Guadalupe Tocci of Texas A&M-Kingsville; Brooke Runyan from UT Permian Basin; and Kanika Sivaraman from UT Tyler.
Selected by vote of the LSC sports information directors, the Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team recognizes student-athlete accomplishments in the classroom and in their sport. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team ballot, individuals must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Schwartz will be a candidate for the 2024-25 LSC Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award to be announced in June.
