Angelo State junior quarterback Braeden Fuller and UT Permian Basin junior linebacker Tristan Exline were selected as the 2025 Lone Star Conference Football Preseason Players of the Year, it was announced on Thursday (July 24) at LSC Football Media Day at McKinney ISD Stadium's Community Event Center in McKinney, Texas.

Fuller received LSC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Exline claimed LSC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

Fuller, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound Kinesiology major from Floresville, Texas, passed for 21 touchdowns and ran for another 11 scores to lead the Rams to a conference championship last season. Fuller was 163-for-287 through the air for 2,318 yards. He threw just two interceptions. Fuller also totaled 678 yards on the ground on 148 attempts as he won the LSC's J.W. He also had an interception, forced a fumble, recorded four quarterback hurries and broke up three passes on his way to earning LSC co-Linebacker of the Year honors.

Fuller and Exline were both All-LSC First Team selections last season.

Additionally, 20 players – 10 offensive and 10 defensive, including Fuller and Exline – were selected for the 2025 LSC Football Preseason Players to Watch list. These student-athletes were nominated by their member institution.

The league's preseason awards are selected by a vote of LSC head coaches, sports information directors and media members.
