Western Oregon cruises by Sul Ross State, 66-3: Western Oregon had its largest margin of victory since 1934 as it opened LSC play with a 66-3 win over Sul Ross State at McArthur Field. The Wolves forced five turnovers – including one on the opening kickoff – scored on all eight of their red zone chances and held the Lobos to 141 yards of offense. WOU’s Jordan McCarty finished 12-for-18 passing for 220 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for another score. Joseph Northcutt led the Wolves on defense with four tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and four quarterback hurries. Dylan Camp and Nino Gama each added an interception. No. 6 Angelo State powers past Western New Mexico, 56-27: Eight different Rams found the end zone as No. 6 Angelo State cruised past Western New Mexico 56-27 at 1st Community Credit Union Field at LeGrand Stadium. ASU improved to 4-0 on the season and extended its LSC winning streak to 14 games. Midway through the second quarter, ASU grabbed its first lead when Kaeden Smith found Hunter Wallis for a 36-yard score. After WNMU pulled even once more, the Rams surged ahead for good. Jayden Jones powered into the end zone from one yard out, and Shamareon McKinnon followed up with a 51-yard pick-six to make it 28-14 and extend ASU’s streak of games with an interception to 19 straight. Smith finished 14 of 22 for 214 yards and five TD passes. McKinnon also forced a fumble and Owen Seaver had 1.5 sacks. Connor Ackerly was 35 of 48 passing for 302 yards and three TDs. Eastern New Mexico runs by Midwestern State, 56-31: Eastern New Mexico ran for a Memorial Stadium-record 453 yard en route to a 56-31 conference win over Midwestern State. ENMU started fast ad Kyler Fossett had a 50-yard touchdown run on the fourth play. Fossett finished with 96 yards on six carries and Demarion Finch ran for 93 on 20 carries and found the end zone twice. Chad Ragle completed all four of his passes, and two were for TDs (one was to Fossett). Aaron Warren led ENMU on defense with nine tackled and an interception. DJ Moore had 1.5 sacks. For MSU, Jakolby Longino threw for 350 yards and two TDs – both two Demonte Greene (six catches for 168 yards) and Kenji Johnson ran for 139 yards and two scores on 20 carries. Complete Release
 

 
No. 11 UT Permian Basin breaks away from Texas A&M-Kingsville, 43-30: No. 11 UT Permian Basin broke open a tie game with three, fourth-quarter touchdowns to defeat Texas A&M-Kingsville 43-30 in conference action at Javelina Stadium. With a 23-23 tie with 13:32 remaining, UTPB got a 20-yard run from Kannon Gibson. The Falcons then used a pair of TD passes from Kanon Gibson (one for 70 yards to Jaylon Tillman and another for 34 yards to TJ McKenzie) to extend their lead with 8:10 to play. The game was also tied at 16-16 early in the third quarter. Gibson finished 18 of 26 for 316 yards and three TDs passing and also ran for 95 yards and two scores. UTPB’s Tristan Exline had a game-high 10 tackles and McKyle So’oto had eight tackles, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. No. 17 Central Washington tops West Texas A&M, 52-6. No. 17 Central Washington racked up 528 yards of offense and held West Texas A&M to negative 60 yards rushing and cruised to a 52-6 conference win at Tomlinson Stadium. King Williams intercepted the third pass of the game to set up the Wildcats’ first TD – a Kennedy McGill run. CWU never looked back as they built a 35-6 lead by halftime. McGill finished 10 of 16 passing for 217 yards and four TDs. He ran for 62. Justice Taylor found the end zone twice on the ground. In addition to Williams, CWU’s defense was led by Tyler King (2.5 sacks), Kuma Scanlan (two sacks), Brogan De’Asis (forced fumble) and Mike Roberson (INT).
