Watch LSC Soccer live on FloCollege
The 2025 Lone Star Conference women’s soccer season is officially underway as all 15 teams have played at least one match.
No. 15 DBU, Texas Woman’s, new league member UT Dallas, UT Permian Basin, UT Tyler and West Texas A&M have not lost a match.
DBU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the
preseason poll. St. Edward’s Annie Rocha, DBU’s Parker Coe and WTU’s Amanda Farris were voted
preseason players of the year.
The LSC women's soccer tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 7 (first round), Nov. 10 (quarterfinals), Nov. 13 (semifinals) and Nov. 16 (final). The first round and quarterfinal matches are played at the site of the higher seed. The semifinals and final rounds are hosted by the No. 1 seed.

Chelsea Vilca, UT Dallas, F, Sr., Healthcare Studies, Hickory Creek, Texas
UT Dallas senior forward Chelsea Vilca totaled seven points as the Comets went unbeaten against Oklahoma Baptist and Rogers State. In the season-opening 5-0 win against OBU, she scored the first two goals of the match only 1:05 apart – a new school record – in the 22nd and 23rd minutes. Vilca went on to assist the third goal. In a draw with Rogers State, Vilca scored the Comets’ only goal in the 55th minute to tie the match up.
DEFENSIVE
Lupita Bueno, Texas Woman’s, D, So., Kinesiology, Arlington, Texas
Texas Woman’s sophomore defender Lupita Bueno helped fuel a pair of shutout wins to begin the season. Bueno led a unit that allowed a combined eight shots against East Central and Mississippi College. She added one assist against MC and played 154 minutes over the two matches.
GOALKEEPER
Franciezca Blancaflor, West Texas A&M, GK, Jr., Kinesiology, Salado, Texas
West Texas A&M junior goalkeeper Franciezca Blancaflor made 10 saves over two matches to help the Lady Buffs start the season unbeaten. Blancaflor allowed just one goal and made six stops in a 2-1 win at New Mexico Highlands. She followed that up with a four-save shutout in a draw with Adams State. She faced a combined 20 shots.
