LSC Baseball Championship field released

The 2026 Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship field of seven teams is set following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday evening (April 26). Teams clinching a spot are No. 8 UT Tyler, Angelo State, No. 15 St. Mary’s, St. Edward’s, Lubbock Christian, West Texas A&M and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The conference championship is a two-week event. The first week includes three, best-of-three series on May 1-3 (Friday-Sunday), hosted by the No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds (ASU, StMU and SEU). The winner of each opening series will advance to a double-elimination format on May 7-9 (Thursday-Saturday) hosted by LSC regular season champion UT Tyler – who receives a first-round bye – at Irwin Field in Tyler, Texas.

UT Tyler won the LSC title for the first time in program history with a 40-10 record. The Patriots are the only team in the league to not lose a series all season. UT Tyler enters the LSC tournament having won 22 of its last 24 games. They lead the league in pitching (3.93 ERA) and fielding (.975), and have scored a conference-high 464 runs.

No. 2 seed ASU (36-14) will host No. 7 seed TAMUK (25-25) at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium in San Angelo, Texas in San Angelo, Texas. ASU is the defending LSC tournament champion and has won the event five other times (2023, 2022, 2021, 2015 and 2012). TAMUK won the LSC tourney in 2013. The two teams will play Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT, Saturday at 3 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

No. 3 seed StMU (36-14) will host No. 6 seed WT (28-22) at Dickson Stadium in San Antonio, Texas. StMU won 11 series this season. WT won the LSC tournament in 2017 and 2016. The teams will square off Friday at 6 p.m. CT, Saturday at 2 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

No. 4 seed SEU (31-18) will host No. 5 seed LCU at Lucian-Hamilton Field in Austin, Texas. SEU reached the LSC tournament title game last year and LCU won the event in 2024. The teams will play Friday at 2 p.m. CT, Saturday at 1 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

The opening series host teams will be the home team in the scorebook every game. Each game will be scheduled for nine innings and the 10-run rule will also be in effect.

Every game of the LSC Baseball Championship will be available to watch on FloCollege. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available.

The winner of the entire event will be named the LSC Baseball Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.
