2012 LSC Basketball Championship

The Lone Star Conference Basketball Championship is set to be played in Allen, Texas, for the first time in 2012.  The tournament will feature eight men’s and eight women’s teams and is scheduled for an exciting five-day run from February 29-March 4. Reserve your tickets now and join your favorite team in Allen.

    Tournament action starts with men’s first-round games on Wednesday, February 29, while women’s first-round action begins Thursday, March 1. Men’s semifinals will be played Friday, March 2. On Saturday, March 3, fans can see the women’s semifinals played in the afternoon and the men’s championship that night. The festivities conclude Sunday afternoon, March 4, with the women’s championship game.

ALLEN EVENT CENTER
This season features an exciting change of venue for the LSC Basketball Championship with games taking place at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The $52.6 million state-of-the-art facility, which opened in November 2009,  is city owned with approximately 6,500 seats in the basketball configuration plus 24 luxury suites.
    Additionally, there are on-site private meeting rooms, food services and free parking. The arena has a modern scoreboard, two video boards and a 360-degree LED ribbon.
    The Allen Event Center lends itself to a tremendous fan and participant experience, with the arena having been built as part of a mixed-use development, amidst hundreds of retail stores and restaurants.


TICKETS
To purchase tickets for the 2012 LSC Basketball Championship, contact the ticket office at your local LSC member institution, visit the Allen Event Center Box Office or go through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com).
    General admission tickets will be sold individually for each of eight sessions or in all-session tickets. Single-session tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.  All-session tickets are $60 for adults and $32 for students. All-session tickets can be purchased at a discounted price ($45) if bought in advance from the Lone Star Conference or ticket office at your local LSC member institution by February 22. College students must present valid I.D. at the Allen Event Center ticket window to purchase student tickets.
    Loge tickets are available by session for $20 with access to premium level and Absolut Club.  Suites are also available by session (see details below).
