Cameron finished fifth in the team standings at the Midwest/South Central Regional held at The Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Okla., to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships.
The Aggies posted a three-day team score of 910 (302-298-310). Robbe Trout led the CU effort by finishing third individually (76-71-74=221).
Midwestern State was sixth (912) and Abilene Christian seventh (916).
ACU’s Cyril Bouniol also qualified for a spot in the national tournament. The junior will represent the Wildcats at the national tournament as he fired a third-round 72 to finish at 4-over-par 220 over three rounds and one shot out of first place.
The championships will be held May 18-21, at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind. The top five teams and the top two individuals not on those teams from each regional have advanced to compete at the finals.
