West Texas A&M to Division II Men’s Golf Championship

2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship finalists announced
 
 
West Texas A&M finished runner up at the West/South Central Regional tournament and claim a spot in the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship in Boulder City, Nev., May 18-22.
 
The Buffs will make their third consecutive trip to the Division II Championships and are the only Lone Star Conference team to advance to this year’s national event.
 
Playing The Reserve at Spanos Park course in Stockton, Calif., WT carded a 5-under 859 (284-281-294) over the three regional rounds to finish three strokes behind Western Washington (856/283-282-291). WT led the 20-team field in par-three scoring (3.10) finishing with three eagles and 46 birdies. Three WT players finished among the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. Victor Estas and Jack Lankford each carded a 3-under 213 and tied at fourth as Estas posted rounds of 69-71-73 and Lankford recording rounds of 70-70-73. Santiago Caride tied for 10th with a 1-under 215 (73-68-74).
 
West/South Central Regional Results
 
In addition to WT, six other LSC teams competed at the West/South Central Regional. DBU tied for seventh-place shooting an 869 (287-291-291) while LSC champion Cameron carded an 872 (286-289-297) to tie at 11th place. St. Mary’s finished tied at 15th (883), Midwestern State placed 17th (884) and UT Permian Basin (886) and UT Tyler (886) tied for 18th.
 
Four LSC players joined Caride in a log jam at 10th on the individual leaderboard with 215 scores -- DBU duo Samuel Jenkins and Jagger Cole, Alois Casalonga of Cameron, and Will Tate of UT Permian Basin.
