Burciaga-Flores set a new school record in the 8k with a time of 25:14.08 at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational. In just the third race of his collegiate career, Burciaga-Flores recorded his second top-10 finish placing third overall. The New Mexico native led UTPB to a third-place team finish besting a pair of Lone Star Conference teams.
 
FEMALE
Abril Escamilla, Texas A&M International, JR, Kinesiology, Laredo, Texas, Martin HS
Escamilla finished the 6-kilometer Concordia Texas Cross Country Classic in seventh-place on Friday in a time of 24:17.6. The race marked the third consecutive time that the Laredo native registered a top-10 finish this season. As a team, the Dustdevils finished fourth.

Brothers finished in 14th place overall at the Concordia Texas Cross Country Classic last Friday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. Brothers was the second-highest finisher for the Hilltoppers after crossing the line with a time of 24:51.7. The Friendswood native helped St. Edward’s to a second place team finish.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
     Everardo Esparza won the individual title and led St. Edward’s to the team championship at the Concordia Texas Cross Country Classic last Friday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. Esparza navigated the 8k course in a time of 27:26.5 to finish at the top of the 90-person field. The sophomore harrier also bested his closest competitor by nearly nine seconds.
 
     Jacob Hughey finished in third place overall and was the second-highest collegiate finisher while helping St. Edward's to the team title at last Friday's Concordia Texas Cross Country Classic at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. Hughey finished the 8k race in a time of 27:41.4.
 
     Nicholas Martinez led the Dustdevils to their second runner-up result of the season with a score of 50 on Friday at the 2019 Concordia Classic. The Laredo, Texas native finished the 8K race in fourth-place at 27:49.9. This is the first top-five finish and second consecutive top-10 finish for Martinez.
 
     Lizbett Rivera paced St. Edward's with a ninth-place finish at the Concordia Texas Cross Country Classic last Friday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. Rivera, a sophomore, navigated the 6k course in a time of 24:23.1.
