LSC Hall of Honor
The 2019 inductee to the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor is former Texas Woman’s University coach Dianne Baker, league officials announced on Monday.
Baker comprises the 2019 class for the LSC Hall of Honor, which recognizes outstanding individuals who have brought pride and honor to the conference through their contributions as an athlete or who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the betterment of the conference as a coach or administrator.
Baker, who is the second Pioneer to be enshrined, was chosen by a panel of athletic administrators throughout the league.
“I’m excited to announce Dianne’s induction into the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor. Her dedication to the sport of softball and longtime success as a coach are indisputable. She is most deserving of this high honor,” said LSC Commissioner Jay Poerner.
Baker will receive the LSC’s signature Hall of Honor award, a 15-inch custom-sculpted eagle figurine mounted on a cherry wood base. The award for Baker is to be presented this fall.
