Brictson posted his third career win in the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational at Tascosa Golf Club (par 71, 6,512 yards) in Amarillo, Texas. He had only one bogey over his final 39 holes and he forced a playoff with consecutive birdies at No. 17 and No. 18. He beat Midwestern State's Jake Doggett on the fourth hole of the playoff for medalist honors. Brictson had 14 birdies in tournament, helping OC rally for the team title in the final round. The 15th-ranked Eagles beat runner-up No. 10 St. Mary's by nine shots. All three of Brictson's collegiate wins have come in 2019 and he qualified for the prestigious U.S. Amateur Championship this past summer.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Jake Doggett, Midwestern State, closed the final round with birdies on three of the final four holes to claim his first collegiate win at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Tascosa Country Club. The southpaw from Hutto fell in a four-hole tiebreaker to Oklahoma Christian's Andres Brictson, but that did nothing to spoil a great season opening tournament for the returning Lone Star Conference Player of the Year. Doggett logged his 16th, 17th and 18th par-or-better scores with tallies of 70, 69 and 66 while running his total of rounds in the 60s to nine. His 54-hole total matches the fourth lowest in program history and is the best since teammate Garrett Leek matched the same score at the same tournament last season.

Iona Roska, Cameron, recorded her second career runner-up finish to lead the Aggie women to fifth-place at the Tarleton Texan Invitational this week. The junior from Scotland shot a career-low 69 during the first round with two eagles and three birdies on her scorecard. Roska followed that up with a 71 in round two, giving her a career low 36-hole score of 140. She finished just three strokes back of the tournament winner, led the field in eagles, and recorded under par scores on the par-4 and par-5 holes.
