Timon Kemboi, Texas A&M-Commerce, FR, Electrical Engineering, Eldoret, Kenya, Meteitei Boys Secondary School  
Kemboi was the top finisher from the LSC and the South Central Region at the Missouri Southern Stampede finishing the 8-kilometer course in a time of 25:55.6 placing 33rd, 27th among attached runners, in a field of 286 competitors. Kemboi led the Lions to a 14 th place team finish in the 27 team field.

Amira McKee, Lubbock Christian, SR, Humanities, Humanities, Sandia Park, N.M., East Mountain HS
McKee notched her second straight top 10 finish, placing eighth with a 5-kilometer time of 18:52.10 at The Texas Tech Open. McKee was first among Division II runners at the meet beating out over 60 other DII competitors. Lubbock Christian placed fourth in the meet beating five fellow LSC teams.

Jenna Brazeal, Tarleton, FR, Business, Little River, Texas, Academy HS
Brazeal in 21st at the Texas Tech Open on Saturday with a time of 19:52.6 making her the top Division II freshman at the meet. Brazeal was just behind teammate Imani Williams who was the top-placed finisher for the Texans. Tarleton finished seventh as a team.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
     Kenyan Abdi, Lubbock Christian, placed second individually at the Texas Tech Open, finishing the 8-kilometer course with a time of 26:10.4 while leading the Chaps to a team first place finish. LCU topped Division I schools Texas Tech and Abilene Christian while also beating out three LSC schools.
 
     Michael Simcho, Tarleton, finished in the top 10 over the weekend at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock. The senior runner led the way for the Texans, scoring tenth-place points with a time of 26:51.8 in the 8-kilometer race.
 
     Nicholas Martinez, Texas A&M International, led the Dustdevils to a third-place finish with a score of 63 on Saturday at the 2019 Saints Invitational. The sophomore from Laredo finished the 8-kilometer race in eighth at 27:29.2. This is the second consecutive year Martinez finished in the top 10 at the Saints Invitational.
 
     Jose Esqueda, Texas A&M International, finished the 8-kilometer race on Saturday at the 2019 Saints Invitational in ninth place. The Edinburg, Texas native recorded a time of 27:33.1 to lead the Dustdevils to a third-place finish with a score of 63.
 
     Brian Kipchumba, Lubbock Christian, earned a third place finish at the Texas Tech Open, his second collegiate race, helping the Chaps to a first-place team finish. The Kenya native finished the 8-kilometer course with a time of 26:23.6, just ahead of a pair of Texas Tech runners.

      Imani Williams, Tarleton, was the top finisher for the Tarleton women at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock last weekend. Williams placed 20th with a time of 19:51.6 in the 5-kilometer race.

      Evaline Cheptoo, Eastern New Mexico, helped her team to an eighth place team finish at the Texas Tech Open behind an 18th place individual finish with a time of 19:49.70 in the 5-kilometer race.

    Abril Escamilla, Texas A&M International, finished in fifth place on Saturday at the 2019 Saints Invitational to secure her second consecutive, and third career, top-five finish. The Laredo native completed the 6-kilometer course in a time of 23:43.6. As a team, the Dustdevils finished in third with 93 points.
