The Lone Star Conference announced Thursday that 2,099 student-athletes have earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors for the 2019-20 fall semester.
West Texas A&M posted the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 164 members. St. Edward’s was second with 158 honorees, while UT Tyler was third (155), Angelo State fourth (152) and Eastern New Mexico fifth (143).
The final count included 588 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Angelo State led the list of flawless marks with 51 student-athletes, followed by WT with 47, while SEU was third (42), Texas A&M-Commerce fourth (40), and Lubbock Christian and UT Permian Basin tied for fifth (39).
Women’s soccer claimed the top spot on the list of perfect marks with 76 followed by volleyball (69), softball (67) and football (46).
The Commissioner’s Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
