MEN’S
Trevor Norby, Oklahoma Christian, SR, Interdisciplinary Studies, Carlsbad, Calif., San Marcos HS
Norby posted his fourth collegiate win, shooting 70-70-74 (-2) to take the St. Mary’s Invitational title by two shots at The Dominion Country Club (par 72, 6,937 yards) in San Antonio. He recorded 15 birdies (four more than any other player in the 71-man field) while leading No. 6-ranked OC to a runner-up team finish. Norby is one of only seven players in OC history to have won as many as four career tournaments and all of those wins have come since last March. The tournament field this week included 11 LSC teams.

Songprasert picked up medalist honors at the St. Edwards' Crosswind Invitational after defeating SEU’s Elana Castanon in a playoff. The senior was the only player to shoot a round under par with her 2-under 68 during Monday's opening round. She followed that up with a 2-over 72 in Tuesday final round to tie for first with Castanon with a 140 total. She finished the 36-hole tournament ranked second in Par 4 scoring and third in Par 5 scoring while recording the third-most birdies with five.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
      Daniel Unger, West Texas A&M,  led the way for the Buffs on Monday and Tuesday as they registered their highest team finish in a tournament in over two and a half years at the St. Mary's Invite at the Dominican Country Club in San Antonio as WT finished tied for 3rd with a 897 (+33). The Swedish product finished tied for second as he shot a 262 (E) in the event including a 2-under par 70 in the second round. Unger registered eight birdies during the event to go along with one eagle as the freshman holed out from 95 yards out on the par-4 sixth hole during the second round on Monday afternoon.
      Clayton King, St. Edward’s, finished in sixth place overall with 221 strokes. He led SEU with 36 pars and added seven birdies for the tournament.
      Elena Castanon, St. Edward’s, lead the way for SEU with rounds of 70-70. She led all golfers with eight birdies and 22 pars to finish tied for the lead at the Crosswind Gloves Invitational.
      Avery Bryant, UT Tyler, tied for the lowest 2nd-round score, shooting a career-best 70 (even-par) en route to a 5th-place individual tournament finish (146) at the St. Edward's Crosswinds Golf Invitational... Tied for 3rd-most pars in the tournament (26)... Shot 15 pars and 2 birdies in 2nd round... Helped lead UT Tyler to its best single-round team score of the year (299).
      Sofia Rodriguez, Tarleton State, led Tarleton with a 147 (+7) as the freshman tied for seventh on the individual leaderboard at the St. Edward's Invitational. Rodriguez had rounds of 73 (+3) and 74 (+4) to record her second straight top-10 finish and fifth top-20 placement on the season. Rodriguez shot 2-over on the front and back nine today and had 12 pars and a birdie in the round. She finished with 21 pars and four birdies to lead the team.
