MEN’S
Trevor Norby, Oklahoma Christian, SR, Interdisciplinary Studies, Carlsbad, Calif., San Marcos HS
With a 3-under-par 69 in the final round that included four birdies and an eagle, Norby rallied for a second-place finish in the power-packed Las Vegas Desert Classic, an event played at Royal Links Golf Club's Links Replica Course (par 72, 6,292 yards). The field included six ranked teams (and 20 squads overall). Norby shot 74-73-69--216 (even par) to lead the Eagles to a third-place team finish, the highest of any LSC team in the tournament.
WOMEN’S
Faith DeLaGarza, DBU, SO, Business Accounting, Midland, Texas, Midland HS
DeLaGarza placed first at the St. Mary’s Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The sophomore earned her first career win by shooting a 210 (-6) through 54 holes to push No. 3 DBU to its third consecutive victory. DeLaGarza’s 11 birdies and Par-4 scoring average of 3.90 proved helped the Lady Patriots claim the tournament tile.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Clayton King, St. Edward’s, continued to improve his score every round, closing the final round with an impressive 69 to finish with 220 strokes (79-72-69). King shot 9 birdies at the tournament which was enough to lead him to a 10th-place finish overall.
Loukyee Songprasert, West Texas A&M, finished second at the Rattler Invitational at Dominion Country Club with a 5-under 201. The senior was one of two players to shoot under par in all three rounds with rounds of 71, 70 and 70. She also recorded the most birdies (13) in the field also ranking first in Par 4 scoring and third in Par 3 scoring.
Kierstyn Bryant, St. Edward’s, led the way for SEU with total scores of 226 and tying for eighth place. She shaved seven shots off her opening round, finishing the invite with rounds of 80-73-73 and 6 birdies.
