LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll released

The Lone Star Conference announced that 2,254 student-athletes have earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors for the 2020-21 fall semester.
 
      UT Tyler had 176 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements to lead all LSC institutions.  UT Permian Basin was second with 172 honorees followed by Texas A&M-Commerce (170), Angelo State (162), and West Texas A&M (156) in third through fifth.
 
      Of the 2,254 honorees, 692 (30.7%) earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester. A&M-Commerce topped the list with 62 student-athletes completing unflawed semesters followed by UTT with 59, ASU (55), WT (53), and Lubbock Christian (51).
 
      Women’s soccer had a league-high 84 student-athletes earn perfect marks followed by softball (80), volleyball (77), and women’s basketball (69).
 
      The Commissioner’s Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes and athletic training students qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester.  To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
