Holekamp won the LCU Chap Classic after three stellar rounds and finished with a 207 (-9) for the tournament, four strokes ahead of second place. His play was highlighted by two outstanding scores of 69 in the second round and 65 in the final round after a strong 73 to open the tournament. In total, the Kingwood, Texas native sank 14 birdies as well as an eagle in the final round.
 
WOMEN’S
Alexandria Bennett, Oklahoma Christian, SO, General Business, Plano, Texas, Plano West HS
Bennett overcame gusty conditions to post a career-best sixth-place finish in the Diffie Ford-Lincoln Invitational at Kickingbird Golf Course (par 70, 5,821 yards) in Edmond, Okla., the highest among any player competing in the tournament as an individual. She had a pair of birdies while shooting a first-round 76 and two more during a final-round 74 that vaulted her six spots up the leaderboard. It was the second top-10 finish of the season for Bennett and the fifth of her career.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
      Nathan McCulloch, Texas A&M-Commerce, earned his first top five finish and third top 10 in three starts, placing fifth at the Las Vegas Desert Classic at 213 (-3, 69-68-76), helping the Lions finish fifth in the event. In the 54 holes, he had 36 pars, 10 birdies, and an eagle. He leads the Lions in scoring average at 72.44 strokes per round.
      Trevor Norby, Oklahoma Christian, a two-time All-American, led the 18th-ranked Eagles to a second-place finish in a Las Vegas Desert Classic field that included five top-25 Division II teams. On Royal Links Golf Club’s Links Replica Course (par 72, 6,962 yards), Norby played consistent golf, shooting 71-72-72—215 (1-under-par) to finish in a tie for eighth in the 76-man field. Norby was one of only eight players in the field to shoot par or better in the final round, helping OC move up two spots and finish ahead of No. 9 Indianapolis (Ind.), No. 12 Colorado State-Pueblo and No. 16 Colorado School of Mines.
