MEN’S
Trevor Norby, Oklahoma Christian, SR, Interdisciplinary Studies, Carlsbad, Calif., San Marcos HS,
Norby posted a runner-up finish while leading the Eagles to the team title in the Broncho Invitational, played at Oak Tree Country Club’s East Course (par 70, 7,126 yards). In windy conditions, he shot 69-66-74 to finish at 1-under 219 for the tournament, better than 102 other players in a field that included five teams ranked in the top 25 of the Division II coaches’ poll. His 36-hole score (5-under) matched the 11th-best total in OC program history. He’s shot even-par or better in 11 of his 17 rounds this season, including two this week, and has led the Eagles to three wins in five events against Division II competition.

Alexandria Bennett, Oklahoma Christian, SO, General Business, Plano, Texas, Plano West HS
Bennett won her first collegiate title and led the Eagles to their first team tournament crown in two years in the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club (par 72, 5,836 yards). Bennett closed the tournament with her best round, a 1-under-par 71 that lifted her to a three-shot win in the 63-woman field. Her three-round score of 219 (3-over) matched the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history and her 71 matched the second-best round in the history of Midwestern State's tournament, which first was played in 2010. She became the fifth player in OC history to win an individual tournament title. In winning the team title, OC beat a pair of ranked LSC teams, No. 19 St. Mary’s and No. 21 West Texas A&M.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Zoe Mayfield, UT Tyler, finished in second place at the Emerald Coast Classic with rounds of 75-71--73 to post the second lowest 54-hole total in UT Tyler women's golf history at 219. Mayfield led the field with 40 pars for the week and finished second by just a single shot. The Longview, Texas native finished the tournament with a one-under par back nine score of 34 to move up into second place at the conclusion of the event. Her 219 total is the lowest 54-hole total shot by a Patriot since Laura Lindsay shot a 218 at the DIII Golfweek Preview in 2015-16.
Addison Mitchell, UAFS, finished fourth at the Emerald Coast Classic and helped UAFS lead wire-to-wire for its first win of the year. Mitchell bested the program records for 36 and 54 holes with a 143 (+1) and 221 (+8). She was tied for the lead after a round one with 71 and was also tied for the lead late in round three. Along the way, UAFS set new program records for 18 holes (293), 36 holes (589) and 54 holes (896). The Lady Lions also defeated numerous ranked foes, including No. 2 University of Indianapolis.
Faith DeLaGarza, DBU, led the top-ranked DBU Women's Golf team to their 8th consecutive tournament win after a third place individual finish at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in Orlando, Florida. Playing at the challenging Orange Tree Golf Club which featured fast greens and high rough lurking off the fairways, DeLaGarza powered her way to a third place finish, marking her third finish in the top 5 this year. DeLaGarza's performance also headlined DBU's first place finish on the team leaderboard against a field that included No. 2 Lynn University, No. 5 Florida Southern, and No. 11 Nova Southern University.
