LSC Golf Weekly Release - Week 11

GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Trevor Norby, Oklahoma Christian, SR, Interdisciplinary Studies, Carlsbad, Calif., San Marcos HS
With birdies on three of his final four holes, Norby secured his fifth career win, taking the title in the Lion Invitational at Trophy Club Country Club in Trophy Club, Texas. He shot 72-66—138 (-6), closing with a round that included six birdies and no bogeys and gave him a one-shot win in an 80-man field. Norby became the fifth player in OC history to win as many as five tournaments. His late flourish of birdies also lifted OC into a tie for second place in the 16-team event. The Eagles now have finished first or second in five of six tournaments this season against NCAA Division II competition and have lost to only one Division II team (Central Missouri, in the Las Vegas Desert Classic) over their last five events.

WOMEN’S
Hanna Harrison, DBU, SR, Marketing, Plano, Texas, Prestonwood Christian Academy
Harrison claimed top medalist honors at the Lion Invitational after posting a two-round score of 2-over par, 146, to best the field of 75 golfers. Harrison's fourth career win helped lift No. 1 DBU to their 10th consecutive tournament title.  Her first-round score of 2-under, 70, was also the lowest score in the two-day event.  Harrison also paced the field with six birdies and posted the top scoring average on par 5 holes (4.75).
