WT’s Uwajeneza and Curtabbi finish in top 10 at NCAA DII Cross Country Championships

West Texas A&M’s Florance Uwajeneza and Eleonora Curtabbi finished fifth and sixth, respectively, at the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships to lead the Lady Buffs to a 13th-place finish.
 
The meet was held at Chambers Bay Regional Park in University Place, Washington, as part of the DII Festival.
 
Uwajeneza finished the 6,000-meter course in 20:48.9, while Curtabbi posted a time of 20:50.2.
 
WT collected 381 points, while DBU had 383 to place 14th led by Madison Brown (21:08.7).
 
Adams State took home the women’s team title for the third year with 75 points and the individual national champion Stephanie Cotter (19:45.2).
 
On the men’s side, WT finished 15th with 400 points paced by Harry Louradour (30:14.2).
 
Colorado Mines won the team title with 43 points and the Orediggers' Dillon Powell was the individual champion (29:28.0).
