The Lone Star Conference announced that 2,220 student-athletes received recognition for their academic achievements during the 2021-22 spring semester with places on the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
West Texas A&M had a league-high 189 students recognized for their academic achievements. Oklahoma Christian was second with 182, followed by UT Tyler with 176 in third and Angelo State with 168 in fourth. UT Permian Basin ranked fifth with 159.
Of the 2,220 honorees, 775 (34.9%) earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring semester. Lubbock Christian's 75 student-athletes led the way in perfect GPAs, followed by UTT with 69 and WT with 67. ASU had the fourth-highest number of 4.0 GPAs with 64, trailed by OC with 61 and Texas A&M-Commerce with 56.
Women's soccer had an LSC-leading 98 student-athletes earn perfect GPAs, followed by softball (82), volleyball (74) and baseball and women's basketball (61).
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters, with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
