Light Schedule for Week 3
Lone Star Conference teams have a light schedule for the upcoming weekend with four men's teams competing in two events and five women's teams at one of three events. … Texas A&M-Kingsville and Sul Ross State take both men's and women's teams to the OLLU Saints Cross Country Invite (Windcrest, Texas) on Friday. UT Permian Basin women are at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational on Friday. … St. Edward's and Texas A&M International men and women will both get a taste for higher altitude running at Saturday's MSU Denver Roadrunners Invitational.
Solid Showings in Second Week
Midwestern State women and Cameron men each won their respective MSU Mustang Derby races to lead LSC teams in the second weekend. Oklahoma Christian claimed the top two individual places in the women's 4K with Kinley Kite taking top honors (13:58.5). On the men's side, Kgaogelo Moloisi of Cameon ran 18:13.5 to win the 6K. … West Texas A&M finished second in both the men's 8K and women's 6K at the Texas Tech Open. WT placed four runners within the Top 10 individuals at both races. … The UIW Cross Country Invitational fields included Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville. Led by Josphat Langat (20:06.9), TAMIU posted a sixth-place men's finish in the 4-mile event. On the women's side, TAMUK was sixth with Maya Espinosa placing 11th (18:40.4) in the 5K. … St. Edward's and UT Tyler men and women competed at the Division I-heavy Texas A&M Invitational. SEU was 8th in the men's 8K with UT Tyler finishing 12th, while the Hilltoppers were 11th and UTT 13th in the women's 5K.

Julie LaFare paced West Texas A&M for a second consecutive week, recording a 22:17.30 time at the Texas Tech Open to place fifth overall in the 6K. The junior was the highest finishing Division II student-athlete in the race as the Lady Buffs finished second overall in the 11 team field.

Enrico Oddone, West Texas A&M, Sr., Business, Alpignano, Italy
West Texas A&M senior Enrico Oddone led the Buffs again this past weekend as the Alpignano, Italy, product ran a 24:59.59 to finish fifth overall in the 8K Texas Tech Open. Oddone was one of four WT runners among the Top 10 individuals as the Buffs finished second scoring 47 points.

WOMEN
Macy Cogburn, UT Tyler, Fr., Biology, Sanger, Texas
Macy Cogburn backed up a top 10 finish from her first collegiate meet in leading UT Tyler at the Texas A&M Invitational. The freshman posted an 18:40.4 time in the 5K race (46th) and finished behind just one other Division II competitor in a field dominated by Division I teams.
MEN
Arlo Gonzales, St. Edward's, Fr., Kinesiology, San Antonio, Texas
Freshman Arlo Gonzales ran a 25:36.7 (75th overall) to finish among the top five scoring runners for St. Edward's and help the Hilltoppers a top 10 finish in the Division I heavy Texas A&M Invitational.
