After three weeks of Lone Star Conference Volleyball league play, only one team is unbeaten at 7-0: Lubbock Christian. LCU (15-4 overall) has won 11 matches in a row. No. 13 West Texas A&M (13-4, 5-1 LSC) has won five matches in a row, while Angelo State (12-6, 6-1 LSC) and DBU (10-4, 4-2 LSC) have prevailed in four straight matches.

Conference play continues this week on Tuesday (Oct. 15), Friday (Oct. 17) and Saturday (Oct. 18).

ASU junior outside hitter Madi Parrish was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s first national player of the week of the 2025 season. She is just the second player in LSC history to win the award more than once (also 2024), joining West Texas A&M’s Sarah Butler, who won three times (1997, 1998 and 1999).

ASU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the preseason poll. Parrish, WT’s Taytum Stow and UTT’s Saige Rivera were voted preseason players of the year.

The LSC volleyball tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 20-22 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
