DBU wins second consecutive LSC STUNT title

Dallas Baptist won its second straight Lone Star Conference STUNT championship, outscoring St. Mary's, 20-4, in the title game on Saturday (March 29).
 
In the championship game, DBU took a 3-0 lead after Quarter 1 partner stunts, building to a four-point advantage (6-2) after Quarter 2 pyramids and tosses. The Patriots' lead over St. Mary's stretched to eight points after Quarter 3 jumps and tumbling. DBU (14-2) finished with 10 points in Quarter 4 team routines to secure the LSC title.
 
Texas Woman's opened the final day of the STUNT championship with a 20-2 win eliminating Texas A&M-Kingsville (5-13) from the competition. TWU led 6-1 at halftime and outscored the Javelinas 14-1 over the last two quarters and advanced to the semifinal game.
 
In the semifinal game, St. Mary's (10-9) outlasted Texas Woman's 14-10 to earn a spot in the LSC final for a second year. The Rattlers built a 10-5 lead after the first three quarters and held off the Pioneers' (14-5) comeback.
 
LSC teams await the April10 announcement of qualifiers to the 2025 College STUNT Division II National Championship scheduled April 24-27 in Nashville, Tenn.
