LSC Challenge Week is set for Thursday-Saturday (Sept. 18-20). The matches, which do not count toward conference standings, will be hosted by No. 10 West Texas A&M (No. 13 ASU and UT Tyler), TWU (DBU and St. Mary’s), OC (LCU and UT Permian Basin), TAMUK (Midwestern State and Texas A&M International), Western New Mexico (Eastern New Mexico and Sul Ross State) and St. Edward’s (Cameron and UT Dallas).
LSC matches begin as early as Sept. 23.
ASU junior outside hitter Madi Parrish was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s first
national player of the week of the 2025 season. Having also won
the honor during the 2024 season, Parish became the first Rambelle to win the award multiple times. She is just the second player in LSC history to win the award more than once, joining WT’s Sarah Butler, who won three times (1997, 1998 and 1999).
ASU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the
preseason poll. Parrish, WT’s Taytum Stow and UTT’s Saige Rivera were voted
preseason players of the year.
The LSC volleyball tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 20-22 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
