Lone Star Conference men’s basketball has just one team remaining without a league loss: DBU (13-4 overall, 7-0 LSC). The Patriots have won 11 games in a row and have won 14 of their last 15 after starting the season 0-3.

No. 6 Lubbock Christian (15-2 overall) and No. 20 West Texas A&M (14-3 overall) are both 6-1 in conference play. LCU has won six games in a row, while WT has prevailed in three consecutive games.

New league member UT Dallas (4-10 overall) has won three games in a row and UT Permian Basin (6-10 overall) has won back-top-back games.

In non-conference play, LSC teams have gone 40-24 against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams.

ENMU senior forward Jose Murillo was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches/NCAA Division II Conference Information Directors of America National Player of the Week on Dec. 2.

DBU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the preseason poll. Senior guard Damani Claxton of No. 23 St. Mary’s was voted preseason player of the year.

The LSC men’s basketball tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for March 5, 7-8 at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. Tickets will go on sale in February.

Due to being NCAA Division II provisional members, UTD and Sul Ross State are not eligible for the LSC tournament but are able to win the LSC regular season title and postseason awards.
