Four Lone Star Conference teams will compete at the St. Mary’s Rattler Invitational with a busy Saturday and Sunday of conference and non-conference games scheduled at the event (Feb. 28-March 1). The host is joined by LSC foes St. Edward’s, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas Woman’s along with UC Davis, Kentucky, McNeese and Quincy. . . . DBU continues atop spot the LSC Stunt standings, undefeated in its four games, while Texas Woman's lists second at 3-2. The Patriots take a break from competition this week and resumes play March 5 at SEU.
 
Reviewing Week Four. Texas &M-Kingsville posted a 2-1 record in Dallas, including a close LSC win over St. Edward’s (19-13). ... DBU also went 2-1 over the weekend with an LSC victory over SEU (19-0) and a 30-24 win vs. Division I No. 4-ranked Cal Poly. ... Texas Woman’s finished 1-2 for the week with a win over NAIA No. 3 Arizona Christian . . . . St. Mary's was idle.

'26 LSC Tidbits. This is the third year that stunt is an LSC championship sport with five league members sponsoring the sport. The 2026 LSC schedule is a double round-robin format with teams playing two conference-count games vs. each other. The LSC Stunt Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 27-28 and will be hosted by the No. 1 seeded team. . . . Fifteen individuals were cited as preseason LSC Stunt Athletes to Watch.
 
NCAA Championship Ahead! At the mid-January NCAA Convention, all three NCAA divisions voted to approve stunt as an NCAA championship sport, with its first NCAA championship projected for spring 2027. The sport is currently governed at the collegiate level by USA Cheer with information about the sport, national game results, and the April national tournament accessed at Stunt the Sport.

London Joy, DBU, Base, Jr., Psychology, Chicago, Ill.
A junior transfer to DBU, London Joy competed as the base in multiple routines over the Patriots' three-game week. Displaying strong stunt technique, Joy appeared in 35 rounds last week, winning 22 of them to help DBU to a 2-1 record, including an LSC win vs. St. Edward's.
 
TUMBLER
Mackenzie Zambrano, DBU, Tumbler, Fr., Marketing, Wylie, Texas
True freshman tumbler Mackenzie Zambrano competed in all eight tumble routines, consistently sticking her passes to help DBU win 19 rounds of 24 rounds in the 2-1 weekend and remain unbeaten atop the LSC standings with a win vs. St. Edward's.
