Lone Star Conference stunt teams move to their "second" season -- the LSC Stunt Championship Tournament scheduled March 27-28. Hosted by No. 1 seed DBU, the double-elimination tournament opens with five games on day one followed by quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games on day two. ... This is the third LSC Stunt Championship Tournament with DBU winner of the two previous events.

Reviewing Week Seven.  St. Mary's posted a school-record 30 points in its 30-7 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville to close the LSC season (March 13). ... TWU competed in the Pacific Northwest Open at George Fox, locking in three wins -- Northwest Nazarene, St. Mary's (Indiana), George Fox (March 13-14). ... DBU claimed the 2026 stunt season title with an 8-0 record. St. Mary's and Texas Woman's were two-three in the standings followed by TAMUK fourth and St. Edward's fifth.

NCAA Championship Approved! At the mid-January NCAA Convention, all three NCAA divisions voted to approve stunt as an NCAA championship sport, with its first NCAA championship projected for spring 2027. The sport is currently governed at the collegiate level by USA Cheer with information about the sport, national game results, and the April national tournament accessed at Stunt the Sport.

Courtney McClellan, St. Mary's, Sr., Backspot/Tumbler, Criminology, New Braunfels, Texas
St. Mary's senior Courtney McClellan helped the Rattlers score a school record 30 points in the 30-7 LSC win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (March 13). A backspot/tumbler, McClellan competed in every round except one, helping the team score 14 of its 30 points and solidify second seed in the LSC Tournament.

Julissa Cabrera, Texas Woman's, So., Tumbler, Accounting, Denton, Texas
Sophomore Julissa Cabrera accumulated 98 points over Texas Woman's 3-1 weekend at the Pacific Northwest Open (March 13-14). A tumbler, Cabrera helped the Pioneers even their season record at 13-13 in recording their second three-win weekend of the season.
