Five Lone Star Conference women’s soccer teams were undefeated with Angelo State and St. Mary’s picking up two wins each. DBU, Texas A&M-Commerce and West Texas A&M went 1-0 as all three picked up conference wins.
LSC women’s soccer teams split into two divisions, one with six teams and one with seven, and will play a single round-robin schedule. Teams in the seven-team division will have one non-conference game versus a league team for seven total games, while the six-team division will play up to three additional non-conference games against conference opponents. All 13 women’s soccer teams will advance to the LSC Women’s Soccer Championship with first round matches on April 3 followed by quarterfinals on April 6, semifinals on April 10 and the championship match on April 13.

Kylie Von Holle registered the first multi-goal game of her career on Wednesday as she netted two to lead the Rattlers to a 5-1 victory over UT Permian Basin to kick off Lone Star Conference action. Von Holle buried the eventual game-winner in the 44th minute off a penalty kick. The junior registered four shots on target over two matches as she led a Rattler offense that put up eight goals in two matches against UTPB.
DEFENSIVE
Cassidy Hill, Angelo State, SO, Business Marketing, DEF, Forney, Texas, Forney HS
Cassidy Hill was a major part of the Belles backline and played a crucial role in holding Lubbock Christian to just one goal in two matches. LCU registered seven total shots in both matches combined as Hill led a defense that kept the Lady Chaps out of the 18-yard box for much of the 180 minutes. The Belles have given up one goal in three matches leading to a 3-0 start to the Spring 2021 season.

Reagan Heelan picked up her first collegiate win as West Texas A&M shutout UT Tyler 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon at The Pitch. The Kearney, Neb. native made three of her four saves in the first half before being subbed off for Daniela Estrada in the 80th minute.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Cindy Rodriguez, Angelo State, recorded the game-winning goal and dished out an assist in the Belles 3-1 win over Lubbock Christian. She also recorded one shot on goal in the 1-0 victory against LCU on the road to begin the season 3-0.
Katie Gay, St. Edward's, scored two goals in SEU's 3-0 win over TAMIU on Wednesday as the Hilltoppers went 1-1 against the Dustdevils this past week.
Hannah Kelley-Lusk, West Texas A&M, scored twice in the opening 15 minutes on Tuesday as West Texas A&M picked up their first victory of the season at home against UT Tyler. The senior needed only five shots to record her fourth career brace as she found the back of the net in the 9th minute before doubling the Lady Buffs advantage in the 15th minute. She now ranks third in program history in game-winners (11), eighth in goals (24) and 10th in points (60).
Nicole Marsolek, Midwestern State, played 128 minutes in two games. She had two shots, with one on goal. The sophomore recorded her first goal of the season against Dallas Baptist to help the team to a 1-2 score. She and the rest of the back four allowed three goals for the week.
Reagan Matacale, West Texas A&M, scored and played the full 90 minutes as West Texas A&M shutout UT Tyler 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon at The Pitch. Matacale had a career-best six shots including a goal on a first-half penalty. She was also part of a defense that held the Patriots to eight shots, four of those on tar
