STUNT Readies for Inaugural LSC Championship; Preseason Athletes to Watch Announced

Twelve individuals competing in the inaugural season of Lone Star Conference STUNT are recognized as 2024 Preseason STUNT Athletes to Watch as announced today by the conference.

The individuals on the LSC preseason watch list are from each of the four conference teams sponsoring STUNT and were nominated by their institution, representing a variety of skill areas – flyer, tumbler, base and back spot.

The Lone Star Conference announced STUNT as its 19th championship sport on July 18, 2023, with the first season of competition and championship tournament scheduled for spring 2024. Inaugural LSC member institutions sponsoring STUNT and competing in 2024 include DBU, St. Mary's, Texas Woman's and UT Tyler. St. Edward's and Texas A&M-Kingsville have announced the addition of STUNT and plan to compete in spring 2025.

The conference STUNT season is a single round-robin. The first LSC-count competition is February 9 when DBU competes at Texas Woman's. The regular-season results determine seeding for the inaugural conference championship tournament scheduled March 23 at the site of the top seed.

Competition throughout the February-April season will determine qualification to the postseason College STUNT Association National Championship scheduled April 26-28 at a site to be determined. Both DBU and St. Mary's qualified for the seven-team 2023 national championship with DBU advancing to the quarterfinals of the double-elimination tournament.
