Lone Star Conference women’s soccer league play is in full swing. No. 25 Midwestern State (2-0-2), Angelo State (2-0-1) and No. 11 DBU (2-0-1) are still unbeaten in league play.
As far as statistical leaders, UT Tyler has the top scoring average at 3.0 goals per match. The Patriots are also allowing a league-low .33 goals per match, followed by ASU (.63), DBU (.86) and Texas Woman’s (.88). Individually, Kyla Lovelace of Oklahoma Christian owns the points lead 19 (nine goals and one assist). UT Tyler’s Natalie Jones leads the LSC with four game-winning goals, while teammate Emily Clark leads the conference with a .286 goals-against average. ASU’s Amber Lockwood has a league-high six shutouts.
The LSC Women’s Soccer Championship is set for Nov. 12, 15 and 17. Quarterfinals will be on campus, while the semifinals and championship match will be at the site of the No. 1 seed.

Oklahoma Christian senior forward Kyle Lovelace fueled a 2-0 start to conference play with three goals – her ninth of the season – and an assist. Lovelace also increased her points lead in the LSC to 19. She scored the first goal of the match and later added an assist to lead the Eagles to their first win over West Texas A&M in program history. Lovelace had a brace against Sul Ross State. Lovelace and the Eagles have scored three or more goals in back-to-back games for time since Oct. 18, 2023.
DEFENSIVE
Claire Jacobson, Lubbock Christian, D, So., Marketing, Hurst, Texas
Lubbock Christian sophomore defender Claire Jacobson spearheaded a pair of shutouts that resulted in an unbeaten week in conference play. Jacobson and company shut out Eastern New Mexico at home before holding an 0-0 draw at St. Mary’s. She scored a goal against ENMU and played all 180 matches over both matches. Jacobson and the Lady Chaps have not allowed more than two goals in any match this season.
GOALKEEPER

UT Tyler junior goalkeeper Emily Clark recorded a pair of shutouts with six saves to help lead the Patriots to two conference victories. Clark, who wins the league’s top weekly goalkeeper award for the second time this season, had five stops in a 3-0 win over a St. Mary’s squad that ranked second in goals scored in the LSC. Clark then shut out Eastern New Mexico to give her four clean sheets on the season. She leads the league with a .917 save percentage.
