All 14 Lone Star Conference women’s soccer teams have played at least three matches, with four still unbeaten: No. 12 DBU (2-0-1), Midwestern State (4-0), Oklahoma Christian (2-0-1) and UT Tyler (3-0).
 
As far as statistical leaders, UT Tyler has the top scoring average at 5.333 goals per match. The Patriots and OC are each allowing a league-low .33 goals per match. Individually, MSU’s Cassidy Savoy and Madison Brinkley share the points lead with eight each. UT Tyler’s Emily Clark has not allowed a goal over three matches.
 
Conference play begins as early as Sept. 25.
 
The LSC Women’s Soccer Championship is set for Nov. 12, 15 and 17. Quarterfinals will be on campus, while the semifinals and championship match will be at the site of the No. 1 seed.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSIVE
Madison Brinkley, Midwestern State, F, Fr., Finance, Boyd, Texas
Midwestern State forward Madison Brinkley became the first freshman in program history to record goals in her first three games and did so by recording a brace in a 2-1 win over Fort Lewis. Brinkley, who leads the conference with four goals, scored the first two goals of the match – one in each half. Her play has helped the Mustangs to their best start (4-0) in program history.
 
DEFENSIVE
Erica Brelove, Texas Woman’s, D, So., Computer Science, Mansfield, Texas
Texas Woman’s sophomore defender Erica Brelove helped secure a 1-0 road win against Southern Nazarene. Brelove led the backline for all 90 minutes. Her play has helped the Pioneers record two straight road shutouts (also Missouri Southern).
 
GOALKEEPER
Allison Dellis, Midwestern State, GK, So., Engineering, Denton, Texas
Midwestern State sophomore goalkeeper Allison Dellis fueled a 2-0 week by making 17 saves, including a shutout of Oklahoma Baptist. Dellis had nine stops in the win over OBU to improve the Mustangs to 4-0 on the season. She had eight saves, including stopping a penalty kick to secure a 2-1 victory against Fort Lewis. Dellis, who played all 180 minutes of both matches, leads the league with 28 saves.
