No. 13 West Texas A&M (15-4, 7-1 LSC) has won seven matches in a row, while Angelo State (13-6, 7-1 LSC) prevailed in five straight matches. Oklahoma Christian (12-7, 4-4 LSC) and Cameron (6-15, 2-6 LSC) have won back-to-back matches.
Conference matches continue this week on Thursday (Oct. 23), Friday (Oct. 24) and Saturday (Oct. 25).
ASU junior outside hitter Madi Parrish was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s first
national player of the week of the 2025 season. She is just the second player in LSC history to win the award more than once (also
2024), joining West Texas A&M’s Sarah Butler, who won three times (1997, 1998 and 1999).
ASU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the
preseason poll. Parrish, WT’s Taytum Stow and UTT’s Saige Rivera were voted
preseason players of the year.
The LSC volleyball tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 20-22 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
