Two-time LSC Academic Player of the Year
Exequiel Rodriguez leads the five-player 2025 Lone Star Conference Men’s Golf All-Academic Team announced by the Conference on Sunday (April 13).
A senior from Oklahoma Christian, Rodriguez is a computer science major carrying a 3.80 grade-point average. Rodriguez was the 2023-24 LSC Fred Jacoby Men’s Academic Athlete of the Year. He is a three-time member of the LSC Men's Golf All-Academic Team (2023, '24, ‘25) and has been cited for LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition throughout his OC career. Carrying a 70.9 adjusted scoring average, Rodriguez currently ranks No. 11 in the NCAA Division II South Central Region and No. 43 among all Division II players.
Rodriguez is joined on the LSC Men’s Golf All-Academic Team by
Seth Bearden, Midwestern State;
Baptiste Touchard, St. Mary’s;
Jackson Naeger, UT Tyler; and
Arnav Arkanath, Western New Mexico. Naeger joins Rodriguez as a three-time team member while Arkanath is a two-time honoree.
The men’s golf All-Academic team is selected by vote of the LSC sports information directors and recognizes student-athlete accomplishments in the classroom and in their sport. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team ballot, individuals must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Rodriguez will be a candidate for the 2024-25 LSC Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award to be announced in June.
