2025-26 Scoreboard
The first week of the 2025-26 Lone Star Conference golf season is in the books for a pair of women’s teams and three men’s squads. Another 10 teams -- eight women, two men -- have their season-opening first rounds scheduled to start on Monday (Sept. 15).
LSC Women
It's a big week with nine LSC women’s teams playing in one of four tournaments. ... Texas A&M International joins its men’s team at the Travis Roy Memorial Invite in Sheridan, Wyo. (Sept. 15-16). ... The 14-team RJGA Shootout at Estrella has Lubbock Christian, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Western New Mexico in Goodyear, Ariz. (Sept. 15-16). ... Three more LSC teams -- Cameron, UT Dallas and UT Permian Basin -- compete in the Oklahoma Woman’s Intercollegiate in Lawton, Okla. (Sept. 15-16). ... WGCA preseason No. 1 DBU and No. 8 West Texas A&M are among the 10 teams at the three-day Folds of Honor Challenge in Allendale, Mich. (Sept. 15-17).
First Weekend: Angelo State finished fifth at the11-team
Swan Memorial Invitational (618-311, 307) behind a pair of Top 20 finishers. Mia Clarke took the individual title (144-74, 70) while Christine Huse tied for 16th (152-78, 74). … Playing for the first time as a Division II member, UT Dallas posted an 8th-place finish among the 17 teams at the
NSU Women’s Golf Classic with rounds of 314-309 (623). Brooke Yount was the top Comet individual, tying for 14th (150-73, 77), with Molly Woods carding a 155 (78, 77) to tie at 27th.
LSC in the Polls . . .

LSC Men
Three teams have play scheduled next week with two of those -- Texas A&M International and St. Mary’s -- headed to Sheridan, Wyo., for the Travis Roy Memorial Invite Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 15-16). DBU will join the 12-team field for the three-day Folds of Honor Challenge in Allendale, Mich. (Sept. 15-17)
First Weekend: West Texas A&M and UT Tyler traveled to Michigan for the 54-hole
Pilgrim’s Run Invite. Tournament host WT used a trio of Top 20 individual finishes to list second on the team leader board, five strokes behind the winner (891-293, 289, 309). Santiago Caride claimed the top spot among the 86 players (212-68, 70, 74) with teammates David Vega Gerstel (224-73-75-76) and Luis Palomo (227-75, 71, 81) finishing 11
th and 16th, respectively. UT Tyler finished in seventh (924-307, 301, 316) with Preston DeSerrano the top UTT individual tied at 20 (229-77, 76, 76). … DBU finished fourth at
The Mule (868- 286, 289, 293) as freshman Jagger Cole impressed in his collegiate debut, tying for fifth place with three even rounds (210- 70, 70, 70). Samuel Jenkins claimed 18th with a 6-over 216 (70, 73, 73).

WOMEN
Mia Clarke, Angelo State, Sr., Interdisciplinary Studies, Liverpool, England
Angelo State’s Mia Clarke fired a 2-under 70 in final round to finish even at 144 (74, 70) to claim the individual title at the Swan Memorial Invitational by one stroke. The senior’s two-round score ranks fourth overall in ASU program history. The Belles finished fifth as a team.
MEN
Santiago Caride, West Texas A&M, Sr., Finance, Bariloche, Argentina
Santiago Caride picked up his first collegiate victory as the senior shot a 212 (-7) to win the Pilgrim's Run Invitational. The senior closed the tournament at 7-under par with rounds of 68, 70 and 74. His first round 68 was the low score of the event and led host West Texas A&M to a runner-up finish on the team board.
