Oklahoma Christian, St. Mary’s and West Texas A&M are headed to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships May 19-23 courtesy of top six team finishes at the West/South Central Regional.
The Lone Star Conference trio joins 20 teams and eight individuals at the Division II finals with play at the PGA National Resort. Teams complete 54 holes of stroke play with the top eight teams advancing to match play to determine the national champion.
West/South Central Regional
Oklahoma Christian carded a three-round 832 (278-269-285) to finish second among the 20 teams, 14 strokes off the leader. The Eagles’ Oskari Nikku posted a 17-under 199 (63-69-67) to win the regional individual title while teammate Vertti Perala tied for eighth (207).
St. Mary’s shot an 838 (280-273-285) for a fourth-place team finish and a spot in the national finals. Baptiste Touchard led the Rattlers with a three-round 205, including a 63 for the opening round, to place sixth on the individual leaderboard.
West Texas A&M moves to the finals after finishing sixth with a three-day 844 (279-278-287). Santiago Caride led the Buffs shooting a 208 (67-68-73) to tie at 13th among players.
Midwestern State placed seventh (847),
DBU tied at 11th (852) and
UT Tyler finished 15th (855) on the West/South Central Regional team board.
UT Permian Basin’s Will Tate (213) and Hayden Bowman (213) from
Lubbock Christian tied at No. 38 among individuals while
Texas A&M International’s Juan Monckeberg finished at No. 60 (216).
