The 2025 Lone Star Conference football season officially kicks off Thursday (Aug. 28) with four league teams in action. Four more league squads will line up on Saturday (Aug. 30).

No. 21 Central Washington has the first game of the season as it hosts Colorado Mesa at 3 p.m. CT. Eastern New Mexico welcomes New Mexico Highlands, West Texas A&M travels to No. 10 Western Colorado and No. 13 and defending conference champion Angelo State goes on the road to face Fort Hays State – all 7 p.m. CT starts.

On Saturday, UT Permian Basin hosts No. 5 Central Oklahoma with a Noon CT (new time) kickoff.  Midwestern State travels to Missouri Southern for a 6 p.m. start. Western New Mexico hosts Adams State at 7 p.m. CT, while Sul Ross State travels to UT Rio Grande Valley at the same time.

Texas A&M-Kingsville and Western Oregon are idle and will begin their seasons on Sept. 6.
