National Schedule & Results 2025-26 Scoreboard
February winds down with Lone Star Conference teams playing in a pair of two-day tournaments Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 23-24) before opening March at one of three events.
LSC Women
Twelve conference teams close the first month of the spring season playing the Rattler Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 23-24). St. Mary’s hosts the tournament at the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio. . . . Only Cameron will be in action March 2-3 as the Aggies are at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational (Edmond, Okla./Kickingbird CC). . . . The schedule for the second week of March has LSC teams at the Emerald Coast Collegiate (March 8-9) as well as representing at the Arkansas Collegiate, SMSU Spring Invite and Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate tournaments (March 9-10).
Week in Review
- The Southern Invite (54 holes, Feb. 16-17): The Lone Star Conference claimed the top three places on the team leaderboard with all five LSC competitors finishing among the Top nine in 15 team field. UT Tyler finished first (882-285, 297, 300) and Patriot Lucy Kate Smith won the individual title by two strokes (218-72, 72, 74). DBU took second place (896-292, 301, 302) and St. Mary’s was third (907-305, 305, 297). Midwestern State carded a 909 for fifth and West Texas A&M was ninth (923).

LSC Men
A pair of LSC squads -- LCU and WNMU -- will be at the RJGA Visit Stockton D-II Invite Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 23-24). . . . A pair of tournaments has conference representation in Boulder City, Nev., and Rogers, Ark., March 1-2.
Week in Review
- Rattler Invitational (54 holes, Feb. 16-17): LSC teams finished one-two-three-five in the 16-team tournament led by Midwestern State who carded an even 864 (280, 288, 296), host St. Mary’s second at 877 (239, 291, 297), Cameron third with an 878 (295, 295, 288), and DBU (295, 288, 303), UT Permian Basin (291, 295, 300) and UT Tyler (294, 296, 296) each carding 886s to tie at fifth. Twelve LSC players finished among the Top 10 on the individual leaderboard as the MSU duo of Ryan Griff and Nathan Nelson led at second and third, respectively.

Looking Ahead
The Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club is the site for the
LSC Golf Championship Tournaments. The women tournament is set for April 13-14-15 with DBU as defending champion. The men follow April 20-21-22 with Midwestern State looking to defend its title. . . . The
NCAA Division II Golf Championship tournaments fill the month of May. Women are set for the South Central/West Regional May 4-6 in Pueblo, Colo., followed by the national finals May 12-16 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Men's Super Regional play is May 7-9 in Stockton, Calif., with the national finals May 18-22 in Boulder City, Nev.

WOMEN
Lucy Kate Smith, UT Tyler, Fr., Education, Prosper, Texas
Lucy Kate Smith picked up her first collegiate victory at The Southern Invite while playing an instrumental role in helping UT Tyler to its first team tournament win since 2020. The freshmen posted an ace on the eighth hole in the first round and carded rounds of 72, 72, 74 (218) for her medalist performance. Smith led the 80-player field in par three scoring average (2.83) and total birdies (10).
MEN
Ryan Griff, Midwestern State, So., General Business, Bulverde, Texas
Ryan Griff carded a three-under 213 (70, 71, 72) to finish second in the 87-player field at the Rattler Invitational and leading Midwestern State to the team title. The sophomore, who was one stroke behind the leader, tallied a pair of eagles and 10 birdies over the three rounds and bested the field averaging 3.87 for par-4 holes.
