It's the end of October meaning the Lone Star Conference men’s and women’s teams are finishing the first half of their 2025-26 seasons. Play resumes in February culminating with conference and NCAA Division II championship tournament in April and May.
 
LSC Women
The last week of October and the fall golf schedule has three teams scheduled in tournaments from Hawaii to Georgia. ... Texas A&M-Kingsville competes Thursday and Friday (Oct. 24-25) at the Hawaii Pacific Southwest Airlines Sharks Shootout. On Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 27-28), UT Tyler is at the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational (Toccoa, Ga.) while Cameron plays The Tulsa Cup Presented by Banc One (Tulsa, Okla.) ... The golf season resumes in February. The LSC Women’s Golf Championship is set for April 13-14-15 at the Rockwall (Texas) Golf Club.
 
Week Seven Review
  • Midwestern State Invitational (54 holes, Oct. 20-21): DBU claimed its fourth straight tournament win for the fall 2025 season posting a six-stroke win (872-287, 293, 292) and leading three LSC teams in the top five -- St. Mary’s (3rd, 882), UT Tyler (4th, 897) -- and five more conference teams playing to Top 10 finishes. DBU’s Ella Cheek won the individual title by two strokes (208-69, 69, 70) and UT Tyler’s Martha Laremark tied for third (212). St. Mary’s Taylor Wilczek, who tied for fifth (214), carded a second round 66 for the lowest individual round in the tournament. Anaya Perales of Lubbock Christian tallied a tournament-best 13 birdies for a 220 total and 10th place.
  • Dennis Rose Invitational (36 holes, Oct. 20-21): Texas A&M-Kingsville (645-314, 331) and Western New Mexico (645-315, 330) tied for fifth in the nine-team tournament at Waikoloa, Hawaii. Viviana Farias led TAMUK, finishing ninth with back-to-back 78s (156). Nicole Jasso was the top WNMU individual, carding a 158 (78, 80) tying at 12th.

LSC Men
The fall segment of the 2025-26 golf season concludes Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 27-28) with the DBU Classic (Rockwall, Texas) and the Tulsa Cup (Broken Arrow, Okla.). ... Eight LSC teams are scheduled for the DBU Classic with the host Patriots joined by Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, Oklahoma Christian, St. Mary’s, Texas A&M International, UT Dallas and UT Permian Basin. ... Cameron is scheduled to compete at the Tulsa Cup. ... The golf season resumes in February. The LSC Men’s Golf Championship is set for April 20-21-22 at the Rockwall (Texas) Golf Club.
 
Week Seven Review
  • Fripp Island to Bermuda (54 holes, Oct. 19-21): St. Mary’s finished sixth behind a pair of top 15 individual finishers in the 15-team tournament. Kongpop Kaikaew carded a 215 (75-69-71) tying at 10th and teammate Philip Hallstrom claiming a tie at 14th one stroke back at 216 (72-74-70). The Rattlers posted rounds of 299-285-287 (871).

WOMEN
Ella Cheek, DBU, Jr., Accounting, Sachse, Texas
Junior Ella Cheek claimed the top position on the individual leaderboard at the Midwestern State Invitational leading No. 2-ranked DBU to its fourth consecutive tournament win. Cheek fired back-to-back rounds of 69 and capped off the tournament with a 2-under par 70 to finish at 8-under (208) for her first win of the fall and third of her career. Cheek recorded a tournament-best three eagles and led the field in par-5 scoring.
