Angelo State earned the Lone Star Conference Championship for the fourth time (1987, 1984, 1978). The Rams are unbeaten at 10-0 overall and 8-0 in league play.
ASU, Eastern New Mexico, Midwestern State, UT Permian Basin, and Western Oregon each posted Lone Star Conference wins last week.
This week’s slate includes five LSC contests to close out the regular season.
LSC football teams are 51-46 overall this season. The squads are 7-1 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, which are also in Super Regional Four.

LSC TO HOST 2022 DIVISION II FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The NCAA Division II Football Committee selected McKinney Independent School District Stadium in McKinney, Texas, as the host site of the 2022-25 Division II football national championship games.
The 2022 title game is set for 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 17 and will be televised by ESPNU.
McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center, a 12,000-seat facility built primarily for football, will host the championship contests on December 17, 2022; December 16, 2023; December 21, 2024; and December 20, 2025.
The Lone Star Conference in conjunction with McKinney ISD hosted the 2018, 2019, and 2021 championship games.

OFFENSIVE

Shaw ran for a season-high 145 yards and three touchdowns to lead Midwestern State to a 41-37 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday night at Pepsi Field at Javelina Stadium. The freshman out of McKinney Boyd High School played a mammoth role on MSU's game winning drive as the Mustangs marched 99 yards on five plays to regain the lead with just over a 1 1/2 minutes to play. Shaw broke for runs of 42, 5 and 39 yards on the final drive to account for 86 yards. He scored touchdowns on his first three carries of the game (3, 3, 2).
DEFENSIVE
Zerrian Meander, Eastern New Mexico, JR, Physical Education, S, Amarillo, Texas, Randall HS
Playing just 20 minutes south of where he played his prep career, Meander had a night to remember in ENMU’s 24-21 win over West Texas A&M. The junior defensive back picked off a pass with 12:17 remaining in the fourth quarter and returned it nine yards to give Eastern the ball back after they took a 17-14 lead earlier in the period. He led the Hounds with 10 tackles, including a career-high 8 solo stops.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Aseli Finau, Eastern New Mexico, SR, Sociology, Coverage, Anchorage, Alaska, Soldotna HS
Down 14-10 in the middle of the third quarter, Finau blocked a punt to give the Greyhounds the ball at WT’s 33-yard line. The senior defensive end had one tackle in addition to the block which led to ENMU taking the 17-10 lead on the following possession en route to the 24-21 victory.
