TENNIS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
 
MEN’S
Joaquin Bianchi, UT Tyler, SR, Marketing, Buenos Aries, Argentina
Bianchi produced an undefeated week in singles and doubles, leading UT Tyler to team wins against fellow nationally-ranked squads Young Harris and Lee. Bianchi won in No. No. 1 singles in straight sets. Against Young Harris, he teamed with Carel Wessel for a 7-5 win in No. 2 doubles. Bianchi’s play also helped the Patriots extend their winning streak to a LSC-best 10 matches.
 
WOMEN’S
Ashley Penshorn, St. Mary’s, SR, Acounting & Date Analytics, Montgomery, Texas, MHS
Penshorn helped nationally-ranked St. Mary’s to a 4-0 week in Florida by going 3-0 in No. 1 singles and 4-0 in No. 1 doubles. Penshorn won all her singles matches in straight sets and teamed with Kyndall Quiroz in doubles. Penshorn’s play against Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Bentley, St. Thomas Aquinas and Palm Beach Atlantic helped the Rattlers improve their winning streak to five matches.
