Of all the Lone Star Conference tennis teams (nine men’s and 11 women’s), only one is still unbeaten on the season: the No. 31 ASU women at 12-0.
 
Following the ASU women for top winning streaks are the No. 24 Midwestern State women, No. 31 Cameron men and No. 19 MSU men with four matches. The No. 7 UT Tyler men have won three in a row.

The LSC Tennis Championships are scheduled for April 30-May 2 at Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas. The men’s and women’s single-elimination tournaments will feature the top five men’s teams and top six women’s teams.
 
The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s regionals will be held at campus sites from May 8-12, while nationals are set for May 19-24 at Surprise Tennis and Raquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.
 
Due to being NCAA Division II provisional members, new league member UT Dallas and Sul Ross State are not eligible for the LSC or NCAA tournament but are eligible to win the LSC regular season title and postseason awards.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE TENNIS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

MEN’S SINGLES
Germano Setti, Midwestern State, Sr., General Business, Carazinho, Brazil
Midwestern State senior Germano Setti was the clinching point playing No. 1 singles against Hawaii Hilo. Setti prevailed 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (9-11) for the 4-3 team win that improved the No. 20-ranked Mustangs’ winning streak to four matches. Setti also was a part of the winning No. 2 doubles team.
 
MEN’S DOUBLES
Cesar Loeches Llamas (Fr., Business, Madrid, Spain) & Bruno Sanchez (Jr., Mechanical Engineering, Sabadell, Spain), Midwestern State
Midwestern State’s Cesar Loeches Llamas and Bruno Sanchez clinched the double point to help fuel a 4-3 team win over Hawaii Hilo. The duo won 6-3 playing in the No. 1 doubles spot. Llamas and Sanchez have now won three of their last four matches to help the No. 20-ranked Mustangs to a four-game winning streak and 8-3 record.
 
WOMEN’S SINGLES
Vasilissa Kupriianova, Angelo State, So., Marketing, Ryazan, Russia
Angelo State’s Vasilissa Kupriianova went 3-0 in singles against Emporia State, Shippensburg and Slippery Rock in Orlando, Fla. She played No. 1 against Shippensburg and No. 2 against the other two opponents, winning all matches in straight sets. Kupriianova, who stayed perfect in singles on the season, helped the No. 31-ranked Rambelles to three teams wins. Kupriianova and ASU are now 12-0 on the season.
 
WOMEN’S DOUBLES
Danaiya Amangazhiyeva (Fr., Kinesiology, Almaty, Zakakhstan) & Vasilissa Kupriianova (So., Marketing, Ryazan, Russia), Angelo State
Angelo State’s Danaiya Amangazhiyeva and Vasilissa Kupriianova went 3-0 in doubles play against Emporia State, Shippensburg and Slippery Rock in Orlando, Fla. The duo played No. 1 against Shippensburg and No. 2 against the other two opponents. The performances of Amangazhiyeva and Kupriianova helped the No. 31-ranked Rambelles to three teams wins and kept them unbeaten (12-0) on the season.
