The Lone Star Conference’s annual Football Media Day will be held Thursday, July 25 at McKinney ISD Stadium’s Community Event Center in McKinney, Texas.
 
All 10 LSC football teams – Angelo State, Central Washington, Eastern New Mexico, Midwestern State, Sul Ross State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT Permian Basin, West Texas A&M, Western New Mexico and Western Oregon – will be represented.
 
Check-in begins at 11 a.m. CT, followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. The program starts at Noon and includes remarks from LSC Commissioner Jay Poerner, the announcement of the preseason poll and preseason players of the year and a question-and-answer session with each school’s head coach and student-athlete representatives. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Managing Editor Greg Tepper will serve as emcee for the second consecutive year.
 
An open interview session for the media will be held from 1:30-2 p.m.

The season begins as early as Aug. 29 with ASU, ENMU, MSU, TAMUK, SRSU and WT kicking off that day. Defending conference champion UTPB and WNMU open against each other on Aug. 31. CWU and WOU start on Sept. 7. All 10 league teams will play nine conference games to determine the conference champion. To see the league schedule, click

McKinney ISD Stadium, a 12,000-seat state-of-the-art facility, is the home of the NCAA Division II Football Championship. The LSC and McKinney ISD have hosted the 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 national title contests and are set to host the next two championships games (Dec.21, 2024 and Dec. 20, 2025).
