DBU senior midfielder Anne Louthan has been named the Division II Conference Information Directors (D2CIDA) Women’s Soccer National Player of the Week for her outstanding performance during the week of Oct. 6-12. She is the first player from the Lone Star Conference to receive the honor this season.
Louthan scored all four goals in the No. 3-ranked Patriots’ 4-1 road win over UT Dallas on Oct. 8, marking the most goals in a single game by any player in the conference this season and the most by a DBU player since 2012. The Colorado Springs, Colo. native tied the match with a header in the 18th minute and then delivered the game-winner in the 62nd. Her eight points also stand as an LSC single-game high this season.
Louthan’s dominant outing helped keep DBU perfect on the season at 11-0.
Women’s Soccer National Players of the Week are selected by a volunteer committee of D2CIDA members from a pool of nominations submitted by conference offices.
