After five weeks of Lone Star Conference women’s soccer league matches, two teams still remain unbeaten in conference play: No. 1 DBU (12-0, 8-0 LSC) and Midwestern State (6-1-4, 6-0-2 LSC).

DBU earned the top ranking in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll, released on Oct. 14. It is the first time since 2022 the Patriots have held the No. 1 spot.

MSU has compiled an 11-match unbeaten streak, while new league member UT Dallas (9-2-2, 6-2-1 LSC) and Oklahoma Christian (6-5-2, 4-4-1 LSC) have not lost in three consecutive matches.

DBU has the top scoring average in the league at 3.5 goals per game, followed by Texas Woman’s (2.5), MSU (2.231) and UTD (2.154). DBU is also allowing a league-low .25 goals per game. UT Tyler is next at .54, then Angelo State (.77) and TWU (.93).

Conference play resumes on Wednesday (Oct. 22) with seven games followed by seven more on Saturday (Oct. 25).

DBU has had two players – both seniors – earn national honors this season. Defender Parker Coe was named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Month for September. She became the first player in program history to earn the honor. Midfielder Anne Louthan was named Division II Conference Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) National Player of the Week on Oct. 16.

DBU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the preseason poll. Coe, SEU’s Annie Rocha and TWU’s Amanda Farris were voted preseason players of the year.

The LSC women's soccer tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 7 (first round), Nov. 10 (quarterfinals), Nov. 13 (semifinals) and Nov. 16 (final). The first round and quarterfinal matches are played at the site of the higher seed. The semifinals and final rounds are hosted by the No. 1 seed.
