No. 20 UT Permian Basin overpowers Western New Mexico, 66-7: No. 20 UT Permian Basin totaled 658 yards of total offense – the third most in program history – to power past Western New Mexico, 66-7, at Ben Altamirano Field. UTPB scored at least two touchdowns in all four quarters to secure its second straight win. Kanon Gibson was 16 of 27 for 323 passing yards and three TDs, Kory Harris ran for 112 yards and two scores on 17 carries and Ben Patterson caught three passes for 115 yards and a TD to lead UTPB’s offense. Jalani Jefferson returned an interception 35 yards for a TD and David Walker had three tackles for loss and two sacks to fuel the Falcons’ defense that surrendered just 182 yards of total offense. Western Oregon surges past Midwestern State for fifth straight win, 31-3: Western Oregon broke open a scoreless game at halftime to defeat Midwestern State 31-3 at McArthur Field. WOU extended its winning streak to five games. Jordan McCarty was 13 of 22 passing for 201 yards and a TD and Jermaine Land ran for 94 yards and a score on 15 carries. Nijawn Sterling had seven tackles – five solo and 4.5 for a loss of 11 yards – and 1.5 sacks to fuel the Wolves defense that allowed just 201 yards of total offense. Kam Forest also had an interception. For MSU, Charles McKnight had seven tackles – five solo and 2.5 for a loss to 13 yards and 1.5 sacks and Akil Edwards had an INT. Complete Release

 
West Texas A&M outlasts Texas A&M-Kingsville, 53-48: RJ Martinez passed for five touchdowns and ran for another as West Texas A&M defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville 53-48 at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium. In a game that featured seven lead changes, WT totaled 493 yards of total offense. Martinez was 30 of 39 for 400 yards and ran for 48 yards on 12 carries. He found the end zone by air and ground in the fourth quarter. Cristan Dixon (two TDs) and Sean Johnson (one TD) had 100-yard receiving games for WT. On the defensive side, Jamel Acosta-Lewis had two interceptions and Ashton Reynolds returned a fumble 25 yards for a TD in the first quarter. Miles Hill had a team-high 14 tackles. For TAMUK, Jack Turner was 37-for-56 passing for 357 yards and two TDs, Lawrence Starks (23 carries for 97 yards) had three rushing TDs and King Phillips caught 12 passes for 105 yards and a score. Eastern New Mexico tops Sul Ross State, 40-34: Jarius Stewart ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns to lead Eastern New Mexico to a 40-34 victory over Sul Ross State at Al Whitehead Field at Steve Ly Family Foundation Stadium. ENMU, which won for the second straight week, totaled 443 yards on the ground. Demarion Finch added 91 yards on the ground and two TDs and William Reynolds had 83 yards and a score. Defensively, Matthew Quartieri had eight tackles (three for a loss) for the Greyhounds. SRSU, which led 10-6 after the first quarter, got 302 yards passing and 96 yards rushing from Kye Callicoatte. Jose Trevino ran for 87 yards and three scores for the Lobos. Brendon Martin had a game-high 17 tackles and Darryl Minor Jr. had 15 stops. Complete Release

 
No. 8 Central Washinton defeats No. 16 Angelo State, 38-21: No. 8 Central Washington used a big first half from Kennedy McGill and collected a 38-21 victory over No. 16 Angelo State at Tomlinson Stadium. The Wildcats won their seventh game in a row and stayed on top of the LSC standings. CWU led 28-7 at halftime thanks to McGill’s three rushing touchdowns and one passing TD. McGill finished 11 of 19 for 114 yards through the air and totaled 109 rushing yards on 19 carries. Defensively, Edward Mikaio had nine tackles and 1.5 sacks and Tyler King had two sacks as CWU held ASU off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter. CWU’s Wyatt Redding averaged 43.4 yards on five punts, including two inside the 20-yard line. ASU’s Braeden Fuller was 13 of 25 for 186 yards passing for three TDs.
