West Texas A&M collects 56-42 win over Midwestern State: West Texas A&M registered 651 yards of total offense and collected a 56-42 road win over Midwestern State at Memorial Stadium. WT improved to 6-2 in league play, marking the Buffs’ most LSC wins since the 2012 season. Trailing 21-14 with 5:36 left in the second quarter, RJ Martinez had two touchdown passes and Jayden Hibbler had a scoring run to give the Buffs a 35-21 halftime lead. MSU cut its deficit to 35-28 on the fourth play of the second half on a Sean Jastrab 49-yard TD pass to Case Peacock, but WT responded with three consecutive TDs to seal the win. Martinez finished 32-for-41 for 427 yards and five TDs – three to Zach Phipps (five catches for 132 yards). Hibbler ran for 135 yards and two scores on 21 carries. Trevin Edwards had 10 catches for 91 yards and a TD. WT was led on defense by Ashton Reynolds (seven tackles and a sack) and Hunter Corbin (six tackles and an interception). Jastrab was 30-for-56 for 411 yards and five TDs and Cedonyae Lott caught eight passes for 145 yards and a score. Noah Bustard had a game-high 13 tackles for the Mustangs. Complete Release

 
Western Oregon continues win streak with 31-7 win over No. 22 Angelo State: Western Oregon improved its winning streak to six games and set itself up for an opportunity to play for a LSC title with a 31-7 road win over No. 22 Angelo State at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union. WOU also defeated ASU for the first time in program history. The Wolves built a 21-0 lead with 4:12 to play in the first half thanks to three Jordan McCarty touchdowns – two passing and one rushing. He finished with 99 yards on the ground on 12 carries. WOU’s defense, which allowed just 197 yards of total offense, was led by Malcolm Liufau (eight tackles – one for loss), Tyler Copeland (six tackles – one for loss – and an interception), Malik Ros (INT), Kam Forest (INT) and Joseph Northcutt (sack). WOU’s Kyle Babcock had a 70-yard punt. ASU’s Trevor Winn has six catches a TD. Xavier Walton had 10 tackles and an INT for the Rams, while Nathan Morcom also had 10 stops. Complete Release

 
No. 17 UT Permian Basin holds off Eastern New Mexico, 47-34: No. 17 UT Permian Basin got off to a strong start and held off Eastern New Mexico for a 47-34 win at Astound Broadband Stadium. It was the third straight victory for the Falcons, who improved to 6-2 in league play. UTPB, which totaled 572 yards of total offense, built up a 40-7 lead at halftime thanks to two touchdown passes and a TD run by Kanon Gibson. Kory Harris, Adrian Cormier and Camden Tyler also added rushing TDs in the first half. Gibson finished 26 of 42 for 321 yards and Harris (83 yards on 12 carries) ran for two scores. Ben Patterson caught four passes for 99 yards and a TD. UTPB’s Tristan Exline had 20 tackles – eight solo and six for loss of 38 yards – two forced fumbles and a sack. ENMU’s Nora Robert ran for 165 yards on 11 carries and Gerry Gomez caught four passes for 143 yards. Jarrion Patton and Tamarr Fairman had interceptions for the Greyhounds, and Ryan Travis averaged 42.5 yards on four punts.  Complete Release

 
No. 7 Central Washington claims at least share of LSC title with 73-7 win over Sul Ross State: No. 7 Central Washington piled up 591 yards of total offense to roll to a 73-7 road win over Sul Ross State and secure at least a share of its first LSC title. It was also the eighth consecutive victory for the Wildcats (8-0 in conference), who scored at least 14 points each quarter. CWU’s Kennedy McGill ran for two TDs and threw for another score, Taylor Justice ran for 157 yards and two TDs on 19 carries and Samaje Featherstone caught four passes for 85 yards and a TD. Defensively, Tyler King had two sacks for a loss of 12 yards and Mika Roberson and King Williams both had an interception. CWU’s David Weber made a 29-yard field goal and was 10-for-10 on extra-point attempts. SRSU’s Yamil Oaxaca caught three passes for 106 yards and the Lobos’ TD and Darryl Minor Jr. had seven tackles – two for loss – and a sack. Complete Release

 
Texas A&M-Kingsville rolls past Western New Mexico, 64-13: Texas A&M-Kingsville had 583 yards of total offense and dominated the first half en route to a 64-13 win over Western New Mexico at Javelina Stadium. The Javelinas scored 43 first-half points, led by Jack Turner’s four touchdown passes in the first quarter alone. Turner finished 33 of 40 for 373 yards and five TDs – two to Ivan Thomas. Kevin Holmes Jr. had eight catches for 101 yards and score, while CJ Thompson had nine grabs for 78 yards. TAMUK’s defense, which kept WNMU off the scoreboard in the first and fourth quarter, was led by Doug Brooks (six tackles and 1.5 sacks) and Julian Payne (interception). WNMU’s Bradley Harris had a game-high 13 tackles and Damir Collins had an INT. TAMUK snapped a three-game losing streak.  Complete Release
