West Texas A&M's Sims named D2CIDA National Player of the Week

West Texas A&M junior midfielder Riley Sims has been named the D2CIDA Women's Soccer National Player of the Week for her performance during the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.

Sims (Harker Heights, Texas) had four goals – including one hat trick – to fuel a 2-0 week. In a road match against St, Mary’s, Sims got WT on the board after trailing 2-0. The Lady Buffs came back to win 4-3. Against Angelo State, Sims recorded the fastest three goals in program history, scoring in the 2nd, 10th and 14th minute. She scored the only goals in the match.

Sims became just the sixth player in the LSC to record a hat trick this season.
