LONE STAR CONFERENCE FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

(Nov. 15 games)

OFFENSIVE
Cedonyae Lott, Midwestern State, WR, Fr. Criminal Justice, Dallas, Texas
Midwestern State freshman wide receiver Cedonyae Lott had 11 catches for 284 yards and four touchdowns to fuel a 70-23 road win over Western New Mexico in the regular season finale. Lott’s yardage was the most in a single game in all of NCAA Division II this season. It also set a program record and is the most in the LSC in over a decade. Lott, who also won the league’s top weekly special teams award twice this season, returned one punt for eight yards. His TD receptions all went for 40 yards or better (40, 75, 69 and 45). His 40-yard TD was the first score of the game. His play helped MSU snap a four-game skid.

DEFENSIVE
Chase Coalson, Central Washington, DE, Sr., Exercise Science, Gig Harbor, Wash.
Central Washington senior defensive end Chase Coalson had 10 tackles – a game-high seven solo and .5 for loss – to lead a unit that allowed just 257 yards of offense in a 19-17 road win over Western Oregon that secured the outright LSC championship. Coalson also broke up a pass and recorded a quarterback hurry. Coalson and company kept the Wolves, who had won six straight games, off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter as they erased a 17-3 deficit and wrapped up a 9-0 record in league play.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Kohen Maroney, Midwestern State, K, Fr., Business, Wichita Falls, Texas
Midwestern State freshman kicker Kohen Maroney made three field goals, was 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts, handled kickoff duties and threw a touchdown pass on a fake field goal to help lead a 70-23 road win over Western New Mexico. Maroney’s field goals – two came in the first quarter – went for 46, 23 and 32 yards. Three of his four kickoffs were touchbacks. Maroney’s TD pass was for seven yards and was the first score of the second half. His 16 kicking points tied for the most in the LSC this season. Maroney’s play also helped the Mustangs snap a four-game skid.
